Problems I faced in Term 3

In term 3, I faced many problems. One of which was that I found poem analyzing very boring. I found it hard to concentrate during lessons. Also, I found it hard to juggle playing time and studying. Ace was also difficult to handle as I lacked time due to my training. Hopefully these problems will be solved by term 4 and my results improve.

YOG reflections

Singapore, despite being a small country on the map, has managed to host the first ever YOG. Eventhough she is 45 years old, she has managed to host such a grand event. This is a huge step for Singapore. Not only does Singapore get the honour of hosting this grand event, it also is able to attract more foreign people into Singapore, thus improving Singapore's economy.

What I've learned

For term 3, we spent the term learning about poetry. We learned about analyzing poems. We also learned that there are many different types of poems, for example :limericks and haikus. We also learned things about poems like onomatopoeia and alliteration. Overall I think that I have learned a lot this about poems this term.

The poem.

Carrying a sling bag up four flgihts of stairs,
I see my teacher pass by.
She asks me for my homework,
I say its not done yet and she asks why.

I give her a smile, turn my head around,
and make a mad dash away.
In my classroom I sit quietly,
scribbling and scribbling away.

The song writer uses 'Baby' sometimes to describe a girl. This is because 'baby' is usually used to describe something that is precious to you as a baby is precious to his/her mom.


  I like this song as the rhythm is nice and the lyrics are nice.

Term 2 wk 4 Naturalist

The differences between Chapati and Roti Prata
1)Roti pratas is fried in a pan with butter, rolled into a cone and spinkled with sugar while chapati on the other hand  is slathered with butter or ghee.
2)Roti prata and the Malaysian variant Roti canai are although served slightly differently, are influenced by each country's culture and economic affluence while piece of chapati is torn off and used to pick up the meat or vegetable dish(es) that make the meal. While chapati is folded into a sort of loose cone and used as a scoop to eat the more liquid dishes at a meal like dal.

The lady and the tiger.

On the ending of the lady and the tiger, I think that the princess will point her lover to the room of the tiger. After the poor guy has been eaten up by it, the princess will then jump down and also be eaten by it. So in the end both of them will die and they can live their endless lives in heaven happily ever after. :)

Diary entry: Mary Maloney

Heres the diary from Mary Maloney's point of view.
Dear diary,

Today, I know that I have done some things which I know I should not have done, particularly killing my husband. However, it is not entirely my fault. We have been together for over 20 years. How could he just suddenly want a divorce. That was totally outrageous. Anyway when the police came, I didn't feel a bit nervous at all. After all I had had practice. The policemen were all fools. They actually ate the murder weapon. They were pretty dumb and gullible. Well since my husbands gone i better get on with life. He deserves it. Who asked him to mess with Mary Maloney....

These are the results for the learning style diagnostic test test. I feel that this test was very meaningful as it has helped us learn more about ourselves. It gives a holistic result of our performance. There are many different people in our class and they all have different styles of learining. My results tell me that I am a very kinaesthetic learner, and i learn by doing things. I prefer using my hands when learining. I am also very musical. I learn things by stringing the words together like a song. Then i rembember the song. Overall, i feel that this activity was very meaningful.
